Details
According to Nanjo, at around 2 AM JST on October 5, 1986, Rudolf, Kyrie, Krauss, Shannon, Godha, and Rosa were killed by an unknown person or persons. According to Maria, the symbol drawn outside the storehouse is a symbol involving freeing yourself, requiring (very likely) 6 sacrifices to work.
Timeline from what is known
- 10 PM-? AM: Argument over inheritance continues in dining room; Krauss, Rosa, Eva, Hideyoshi, Rudolf and Kyrie are there.
- 11 PM: Rudolf leaves (I'm unsure if it's back to the dining room), Kyrie follows; Godha stays in servant room under Krauss' orders; Shannon patrols mansion's hallways
- Sometime after 11 PM: Eva and Hideyoshi allegedly return to guesthouse
- 2 AM: The 6 are killed in the living room. Their bodies are dumped in the garden storehouse, their blood is used to mark Natsuhi's door and the storehouse.
- 6 AM: Godha unreachable
- 6-7 AM: Krauss, Rudolf, Kyrie, Shannon, and Rosa feared missing
- ~8:30 AM: The bodies are discovered in the storehouse

not part of my theory, but I find it odd that as pointed out by Battler, both Kyrie and Natsuhi said the exact same things when denying the existence of a 19th person.
Realistically, Eva was probably the primary mastermind here, making the murders as nonsensical as possible and framing herself in a 4d chess move to make it look like she's being framed and that nothing else added up. This of course, is very flawed since based on Maria's reaction, she was actually anticipating something, and even asked for how many people were killed, indicating that she not only knew the symbol, she also knew how many sacrifices it needed.
This leads me to my second theory which is the one I lean more towards. Beatrice was in the mansion, but I can't say with certainty if she killed them herself. Maria definitely knows way more about Beatrice than everyone is let on about, considering her in-depth knowledge on the occult I wouldn't be surprised if she was there or something
Whoever killed the 6 people, they were trying to free something, and as indicated by the chapter's name "The Sacrifices Chosen by the Key", the deaths of these people is related to the key that will be opening the "Golden Land" as mentioned by the epitah. I'm not exactly sure what it's trying to free, since if Beatrice did in fact kill then who is she trying to free? If someone killed the 6 to free Beatrice then who is this person? Judging by what Maria says about witches this person could literally be anyone, probably still Eva I think lol.
What happened to Kinzo?
first of all who careshe's probably dead like Battler says, if he isn't, then he probably still won't give any useful info anyway
What's the deal with Maria?
too early to say, but guessing it's similar to rika furude where she saw or knew something everyone else doesn't
How the fuck did Krauss get that gold ingot?
he's dead now so idk lol
I think this implies that not all of the gold is in the "Golden Land" as the epitah implies, maybe just that one ingot was taken out by Kinzo so it could be shown? This raises a lot of questions: where did Kinzo store it? how did Krauss even know where to look? is that thing actually real or just a 4d chess move from Krauss?
The existence of the gold also clears Krauss of any sort of embezzlement, since he didn't need to steal that money for his deficit.
Why was Natsuhi's door marked?
