Background

A series of light novels by the doujin circle Nekoyashiki first published in Comiket 71 on December 2006. It was written by Sakura Takanashi and illustrated by Mutsumi Sasaki.

The art design was changed with the entry SSD:re in Comiket 78 on August 2010.

At Comiket 91 on December 2016, SSD オレの学校生活は彼女に支配されている was released. It is a visual novel adaptation of the first light novel. It was released online via DMM on May 29, 2017 with character voices added; but the game was later removed. It was re-released to Pixiv BOOTH on March 24, 2018.

The earliest concept art for the SSD visual novel was released at Comiket 85 in a book called SSD ARTBOOK. It interestingly includes concept art for Iris Lothringen, who doesn't appear in the vn.

Likely intended alongside the vn, SSD for GAME was released. It is seems to include illustrations of scenes from the vn as well as an original story.

Story

After failing to enter all of his other school choices, Ren Tokiwai is the only male transfer student to Oka Gakuen (桜花学園), a former all-girl's private school. He finds himself having to deal with his eccentric classmates.

Characters

Tokiwai, Ren (常盤井 蓮)

A male transfer student to Oka Gakuen. His reboot appearance looks similar to Takumi Nishijou from Chaos;Head.

Arisugawa, Rira (有栖川 リラ)

An eccentric short girl. She drives a motorcycle to school named "Okamochi-kun" (おかもちくん) and carries around a 9mm GLOCK 26 that's been modified to shoot water. She looks incredibly similar to Rimi Sakihata from Chaos;Head. ~15 years old. She is the granddaughter of the school chairman.

Arisugawa, Nadeshiko (有栖川 撫子)

A mysterious girl who is related to Rira. She is a very polite and apologetic person.

Higashikuni, Kanna (東久邇 かんな)

The class representative. A stickler for the rules. She carries around a student handbook and is often very serious, though there is a soft side to her. She looks similar to Sena Aoi from Chaos;Head.

Asaka, Hinano (朝香 ひなの)

A shy and reserved classmate of Ren's. She looks very similar to Yua Kusunoki from Chaos;Head.

Nashimoto, Chidori (梨本 千鳥)

An androgynous-looking classmate of Ren's. They are known to call people her "kitten" and is part of the school equestrian club. Chidori is revealed to be a (biological) girl wearing the men's uniform; they use male pronouns (boku).

Iris A. Lothringen

A German exchange student who loves samurai swords. She does not appear in the visual novel. I think she might have been introduced in the 2010 light novel SSD:re.

Kitashirakawa, Tameko (北白川 為子)

The class' homeroom teacher. She likes male idols and beer.
